I am currently employed as a PET computer scientist & mathematician at the Dept. of Clincical Physiology, Nuclear Medicine and PET, working in molecular imaging. My research focus areas are:

  • Algorithms and software development for PET imaging.
  • Motion tracking and correction in PET brain imaging.
  • Research on the Siemens mMR simultaneous PET/MR scanner; attenuation correction, motion correction, PET quantification.
  • PET/CT (for oncology, radiation therapy planing, neurology).

While at DIKU I worked on using variational methods for video upscaling, that is increasing the resolution by deinterlacing, spatial super resolution (e.g SDTV to HDTV) or super resolution in time (higher frame rate or super slow). Variational methods are widely used for image restorations, e.g. de-noising and inpainting and motion estimation.
