segmentering, grafik, musikinformatik |
The mathematical imaging group at the department of mathematics, Lund
university has 5 permanent researchers and 8 PhD students, interested in
applied mathematics, especially computer vision and image analysis. Some
of the latest research include geometry of multiple views of = points,
lines, conics, curves and solouettes, Doppler tomography, hand writing
recognition, view synthesis, automatic generation of scene models from
images, robotics, and statistical image processing. |
The Section for Image Analysis at the Department of Mathematical
Modelling (IMM) employs app. 20 scientists. The basic research strategy
of the section is to develop and use methods and theory in practical applications.
The main areas of applications are in Biomedical Imaging, Industrial Vision,
Material Science, and Remote Sensing. To develop these applications we
use methods from a range of different disciplines of which the most important
are Spatial and Multivariate Statistics, Computer Science, and Numerical
Analysis. |
