In our pose editing system, the user can sculpt a set of poses simply by transforming the handles for each pose. Using Laplacian editing, the deformable parts are deformed to match the handles. In our animation system the user can constrain one or several handles in order to define a new pose. New poses are interpolated from the examples poses, by solving a small non-linear optimization problem in order to obtain the interpolation weights. While the system can be used simply for building poses, it is also an animation system. The user can specify a path for a given constraint and the model is animated correspondingly.} } @InProceedings{ erleben.sporring:07, author = {Kenny Erleben and Jon Sporring}, title = {Line-Stepping for Shell Meshes}, booktitle = {Scandinavian Conference on Image Analysis ({SCIA} '07)}, publisher = {Springer Verlag}, series = {Lecture Notes in Computer Science}, volume = {4522}, year = {2007}, month = jun, editor = {Bjarne Ersb{\o}ll and Kim Steenstrup Pedersen}, pages = {472--481} } @InProceedings{ schjoth.frisvad.erleben.sporring.07, author = {Lars Schj{\o}th and Jeppe R. The density estimate is performed on finite points - particles - generated by a stochastic sampling of the scene. In the course of the sampling, particles, representing light, are stochastically emitted from the light sources and reflected around the scene. The sampling induces noise, which in turn is handled by the density estimate during the illumination reconstruction. Unfortunately, this noise reduction imposes a systematic error (bias), which is seen as a blurring of prominent illumination features. This is often not desirable as these may lose clarity or vanish altogether. We present an accurate method for reconstruction of indirect illumination with photon mapping. Instead of reconstructing illumination using classic density estimation on finite points, we use the correlation of light footprints, created by using Ray Differentials during the light pass. This procedure gives a high illumination accuracy, improving the trade-off between bias and variance considerable as compared to traditional particle tracing algorithms. In this way we preserve structures in indirect illumination.} } @InCollection{ erleben.dohlmann07, author = {Kenny Erleben and Henrik Dohlmann}, title = {Robust Signed Distance Fields using Tetrahedra {GPU} Scan Conversion}, booktitle = {{GPU} {G}ems 3}, publisher = {Addison-Wesley Professional}, year = {2007} } @InProceedings{ erleben.sporring.ea:05b, author = {Kenny Erleben and Jon Sporring and Henrik Dohlmann}, title = {OpenTissue - An Open Source Toolkit for Physics-Based Animation}, year = {2005}, date = oct, editor = {Stephen Aylward and Tina Kapur and Luis Ibanez}, booktitle = {ISC / NA-MIC / MICCAI Workshop on Open-Source Software}, note = {\url{http://hdl.handle.net/1926/34}} } @InProceedings{ somchaipeng.erleben.ea:04b, author = {Kerawit Somchaipeng and Kenny Erleben and Jon Sporring}, title = {A Multi-Scale Singularity Bounding Volume Hierarchy}, year = {2005}, booktitle = {Proceedings of WSCG}, pages = {179--186}, project = {DSSCV} } @InProceedings{ erleben.dohlmann:04, author = {Kenny Erleben and Henrik Dohlmann}, title = {Contact Graphs in Multibody Dynamics Simulation}, booktitle = {{SIMS} 2004}, pages = {307--314}, year = {2004}, month = sep, editor = {Brian Elmegaard and Jon Sporring and Kenny Erleben and Kim S{\o}rensen} } @InProceedings{ pedersen.erleben.ea:04, author = {Camilla Pedersen and Kenny Erleben and Jon Sporring}, title = {Ballet Balance Strategies}, year = {2004}, month = sep, editor = {Brian Elmegaard and Jon Sporring and Kenny Erleben and Kim S{\o}rensen}, booktitle = {{SIMS} 2004}, pages = {323--330} } @InCollection{ erleben.henriksen:03, author = {Kenny Erleben and Knud Henriksen}, title = {Scripted Bodies and Spline-Driven Animation}, booktitle = {Graphics Programming Methods}, pages = {37--50}, publisher = {Charles River Media, Inc.}, year = {2003}, editor = {Jeff Lander}, chapter = {1.4} } @InCollection{ erleben.sporring:03, author = {Kenny Erleben and Jon Sporring}, title = {Collision Detection of Deformable Volumetric Meshes}, booktitle = {Graphics Programming Methods}, publisher = {Charles River Media}, year = {2003}, editor = {Jeff Landers}, chapter = {1.5}, pages = {51--68} }
