Subversion Access

Everybody that are members of the image group have access to the ImageWeb repository and can therefore edit the Image Group homepage. To get started one first need to check out a local working copy of ImageWeb, like this

svn co

We are currently using php for the homepage, so you might want to consider setting up a local http server and php, so you can edit your local working copy.

Windows Http Server Setup

The following guide is based on [http://www.mjmwired.net/resources/mjm-apache-windows.html Apache - Windows 2000/XP Guide].

I (kenny) recommend that you use Apache. I used this one [http://www.apache.org/dist/httpd/binaries/win32/apache_2.0.55-win32-x86-no_ssl.msi apache_2.0.55-win32-x86-no_ssl.msi], but you can probably find the latest binary version [http://www.apache.org/dist/httpd/binaries/win32/ here].

I used the default settings every place in the windows installer. That means the apace2 service starts automatically. If you want to switch to manual control then

right click on the apace icon in your taskbar

chosse open services

Double click on Apache2

and finally

set start-up type to manual

Now it is time to fix the conf-file, in my installation it is located here

C:\Program Files\Apache Group\Apache2\conf\httpd.conf

Open it up in your favorite text-editor and add

Alias /ImageWeb "D:/work/ImageWeb_trunk"

<Directory "D:/work/ImageWeb_trunk">
     Options Indexes FollowSymLinks
     AllowOverride None
     Order allow,deny
     Allow from all

Remember to replace the local working copy path to ImageWeb with your own path.

Windows PHP Setup

Go to [http://www.php.net/downloads.php http://www.php.net/downloads.php] and get the latest binary windows version. VERY IMPORTANT, do NOT use the windows installer get the zip-package. I used the PHP 5.1.2 zip package.

Create a local php folder

Unzip the zip file you downloaded into this folder.

Copy php5ts.dll from the \php\ directory to the Windows System directory: c:\winnt\system32 (for Windows 2000/NT4) or c:\windows\system32 (for Windows XP) or c:\windows\system (for Win9x/Me).

Copy php.ini-dist as php.ini from the \php\ directory to your Windows directory: \windows (for 9x/Me/XP) or \winnt (for NT4/2000). Note the name change.

Open httpd.conf in your \apache\conf directory, and add the lines (at appropriate places)

LoadModule php5_module "c:/program files/php/php5apache2.dll"
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php .php3 .php4 .phtml

Also change the directory index line to

DirectoryIndex index.html index.php index.php3 index.phtml index.shtml

Now you just need to restart your apache service, open a web-browser and write

At the address line, that is it.
