The Danish National Academy of Digital, Interactive Entertainment (det Danske Akademi for Digital og Interaktiv Underholdning, DADIU)

The purpose of DADIU is to promote research and development within the area, to be a core contact for the interactive entertainment industry, and most importantly to create a number of educations targeting the computer games industry. A joint language and a joint understanding of what computer games should be developed, and the students from the various educations should meet and together produce a game in a simulated reality.

DADIU and the Department of Computer Science, University of Copenhagen (DIKU)

Since 2005 has DIKU been part of DADIU, which is a collaboration between University of Copenhagen, The National Film School, The Animation Workshop at University College of Western Denmark, Danmarks Designskole, Denmark's Technical University, University of Aarhus, University of Aalborg , and the IT-University of Copenhagen.

The collaboration between DADIU and the institutions is organized as follows: Each institution creates a game-track, the students complete the joint curriculum (f�llespensum/intensivkursus), and the students complete the two joint projects (f�llesproduktioner). The purpose of the joint curriculum is to familiarize the students with the language and techniques of the participating partners, and it is either taught by the individual institutions or in collaborations between the institutions. The purpose of the joint projects is to imitate a game-programming environment in order to train the students in their specific skills and in collaboration with partners from the participating institutions. The duration of each project is one month, and each project is to solve a specific game-programming task in an interdisciplinary group of approximately 12 person, determined by DADIU after a fixed schema. Drop outs will not be tollerated!

Bemærk at vi har numereret blokkene fortløbende, således at blok 5 altså er blok 1 på 2. kandidatår. Da alle kurser, som ligger i første blok, også er bachelor kurser, vil der for de fleste studerende være mulighed for, at kunne tage yderligere kandidat kurser med ikke-skriftlig kredit.

Da der er begrænset optag på DADIUs fællesprojekter, vil der være separat optag, som vil være baseret på den gennemsnitlige bachelor karakter.

Intensivkursus i computerspiludvikling

Fællespensum kan opnås ved at følge overbygningskurset arrangeret af Afd. for Film- og Medievidenskab i samarbejde med Det Danske Akademi for Digital Interaktiv underholdning. I 2006 afholdes kurset på Film- og Medievidenskab, KUA, lokale XXX. Forelæsningerne i Visuelt Design I-III, samt Spildesign III og Produktionsmetodik II foregår dog på Danmarks Designskole, og med Kjetil Sandvik og Gunnar Wille Kurset som kursusansvarlige. Optag på Fællesproduktionerne

Fællesproduktionerne er fuldtidsarbejde i 1 måned, og da man skal arbejde sammen i en på forhånd specificeret gruppe, hvor frafald under forløbet ikke kan accepteres, da det vil sabotere projektforløbet. DADIU har derfor indført seperat optag på fællesproduktionerne, og optagsproceduren for produktion 1 på første år, må i det lys ses som den vigtige, idet har man allerede deltaget med succes på produktion 1, er det en formsag at blive optaget på produktion 2 på andet år.

Der er åbent for at deltage på fælleskurset: media:DADIUsemesterplanF06.pdf (Ny udgave af 2006/01/25). Lad mig minde om, at det er en betingelse for at opnå spil-diplomet, at fællespensum er bestået. Vi mangler stadig at blive oplyst om hvilket lokale på KUA det foregår.

Vi har modtaget maskinerne, og de er ved at blive sat op. Image Lab II er ligeledes ved at blive indrettet. I skal have en billednøgle for at kunne bruge rummet. Nøglen kan I få det sædvanlige sted i S212.
