Howto mount usb drive

At the moment, only root account can mount drives in the cluster.

Key in the following command to find the link to the USB harddisk

 ls -l /dev/disk/by-id/usb*

The command will give an output like

 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root  9 Oct  2 14:29 /dev/disk/by-id/usb-LaCie_BigDisk_XXXXXXXX -> ../../sdg
 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 10 Oct  2 14:29 /dev/disk/by-id/usb-LaCie_BigDisk_XXXXXXXX-part1 -> ../../sdg1

This means that the USB harddisk is in /dev/sdg1.

Next just use mount or ntfs-3g (if it is in NTFS format) command mount the USB harddisk to a directory. Below is an example of mounting using ntfs-3g for read-only

 ntfs-3g /dev/sdg1 /some_directory -o -ro
